ATA Spectroscopy is a subsidiary of ATA Scientific and is dedicated to the sales and service of JASCO spectroscopy instruments. These are quality instruments from one of the world’s most respected scientific instrument companies established over 60 years ago.
The JASCO spectroscopy portfolio includes instruments ranging from QC/teaching models to more advanced research grades. They are all based on a common operating software, Spectra Manager, which means they are all equally easy to use. Many of these instruments are suitable for customer self-installation and supported by our Helpdesk which is freely available to provide ongoing customer assistance by phone and e-mail.
To reduce customer costs service for smaller and basic models is usually on a return to workshop basis. Service for larger and research models is provided on-site as specified in a quotation. During and after warranty our helpdesk provides free assistance for all models by phone and e-mail. Additional on-site visits by Applications or Service personnel are also available and will be quoted upon request.
ATA Scientific is a company established over 30 years which specialises in marketing and servicing scientific instruments. The ATA Scientific product range includes innovative instruments applicable across the Particle, Surface, Biomolecular and Material Sciences.

The Japan Spectroscopic Corporation (JASCO) was founded 1958 to provide the local scientific community with much needed analytical spectroscopy instruments. Since then JASCO has grown to become a highly esteemed global company, providing innovative instruments throughout the Americas, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and the Middle East.
In the mid-1950’s a group of researchers in the Institute of Optics, now Tsukuba University, needed an Infrared Spectrophotometer for their research. Such an instrument was not available at the time so they undertook the challenge to develop their own. The result was a successful reliable instrument with excellent optical performance. Soon other researchers began requesting replicas of the instrument and in response to this increasing demand JASCO was founded. Founding members include world-famous physicist Yoshio Fujioka and Nobel Prize winner Shinichiro Tomonaga.
Over the years the JASCO product line has grown to provide instruments used in teaching, research and routine analysis in areas such as quality control and environmental analysis. The current spectroscopy portfolio encompasses instrumentation for UV-Visible-NIR, FTIR, Fluorescence, Circular Dichroism, Raman and polarimetry.
